We offer different practice modes to provide training tailored to your individual needs. We recommend using the "intelligent training" mode. In this mode, you will be gradually introduced to a meaningful number of new questions. Extensive statistics are collected for each question — not only your own performance, but also the data from other users determines how often and which questions are repeated.

Additional options:

• Discover new questions: You will be shown questions you haven't seen before, as long as such are still available. We recommend not selecting too many "new questions" at once.
• Incorrect questions: Questions you answered incorrectly on your last attempt.
• Your difficult questions: Questions you have answered incorrectly more often than average.
• Challenging questions: Questions that most students struggle to answer correctly.
• Random questions: A random selection from all questions.
• All questions: All questions from the selected chapters.
• Bookmarked questions: Questions you have marked with a bookmark.

In this test mode, pilots.school determines which questions are shown to you. Numerous factors are taken into consideration.

Pilots.school takes care:

• that you always practice with an optimal mix of new and familiar questions,
• that difficult questions are repeated more often, also considering the statistics of other users,
• that there are not too many, but also not too few new questions,
• etc.

We strongly recommend using only this mode for studying. At the beginning, select a few chapters you are already familiar with and practice until you’ve mastered them. Then gradually add more chapters.

The intelligent training mode is continuously being improved.

The intelligent question selection of pilots.school is based on analyzing which questions you know and which you don’t. If you simply click on an answer and it happens to be correct by chance, it will distort the statistics and therefore also the question selection.

If you don't know the answer, you should definitely use the "I don't know" button instead of guessing.

This way, you'll be shown the correct answer and have time to calmly review it.

You can use this feature in various ways—for example, to mark questions that are unclear and ask your flight instructor later, or to flag questions you'd like to review again before the exam.

If you want to take a closer look at a longer answer, you can jump to any question at any time using the question bar at the bottom.

However, questions that have already been answered cannot be answered again, as this would unnecessarily distort the statistics.

Your access is activated immediately upon payment for a certain period of time. The duration depends on the product you selected. You can extend your access at any time in the shop. If you click on a course you already own, you will see how long your course remains valid. If you purchase the course again, the newly acquired validity will be added.

Please understand that we (also due to licensing guidelines with Aircademy) cannot offer free extensions.

The ECQB-PPL question database is divided into three categories of questions:

• 1. Published: These questions are publicly available and published as sample questions on the Aircademy website. For example, there are around 400 questions available for the PPL/A.
• 2. Training: These questions are intended for practice. The majority of questions belong to this category.
• 3. Examination: These questions are known only to the examination authorities. The exams are usually composed of questions from all three categories. Typically, more than 50% of the exam questions will come from the training database. However, it's essential to understand the learning content—not just memorize the questions.

Attention!

There are question catalogs available for purchase that include only the "Published Questions." These can also be downloaded for free as a PDF from the Aircademy website.

pilots.school provides all current questions from both the Published and Training categories online. These questions are protected by license agreements. There is no free resource available that contains all of the training questions.

Only the authorities have access to the "Examination" questions, which is why there are no question catalogs available for purchase that include them. However, if you fully understand (not just memorize) the questions from the other two categories, you should have no problems with the Examination part.
